How did this get started?

Urban Surf was born from a calling on John Rozier's life to lead inner city youth to the Lord in a unique way. Having a passion for the beach and surfing, he followed the Lord into a unique opportunity that has grown into an summer camp where students truly hear from the Lord in the middle of the waves.

There is nothing better than to follow Jesus into new experiences, both learning new skills and learning new truth about the Lord. Urban Surf provides the perfect setting for this, taking students out of their comfortable every day environments for one week, giving them professional surf instruction, consistent bible teaching, worship sessions, devotional and games times. Come and find your passion for both the beauty of the surf and the beauty of the Lord!

What is a day of camp like?

Each day will consist of students waking up early for a devotional time and breakfast before heading out to the beach for a full day of instruction and fun! Once everyone is well worn out, students head back to the main facility to have dinner, worship the Lord in song, and listen to bible teachings from guest speakers. Throw in a few games or crafts before lights out, along with personal discussion times to really let the word of the Lord sink in, and you've got yourself a day of camp at Urban Surf!

Day one camp arrival time is at 10 AM and pick up time on the final day is 4 PM.
